The Theatre Arts Ministry has a long and rich history at University. Various productions have been performed throughout the years. Some examples are Inherit the Wind, Peter Pan, Quilters, A Stitch in Time, Don’t Mention My Name, Cheaper By the Dozen, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Children of Eden and To Kill a Mockingbird.

The current focus of the Theatre Arts Ministry is on using theatre to enhance our Sunday morning worship. We participate in worship on an ongoing basis and it’s important for the actors in our church to work consistently on improving their skills. That’s why we have an auditioned theatre troupe. U|Act: Theatre in Worship meets twice a month to improve our acting skills and rehearse for upcoming Worship sketches. If you are interested in acting at the U, this is a great opportunity to get involved. This troupe auditions on a yearly basis and is open to 7^th graders through adults.

Upcoming Auditions will be held Sunday, August 30 and Monday, August 31, 2009.
